Claude Design by Anthropic – Create Prototypes, Slides, and Marketing Visuals with AI
Anthropic released something that could make creating visuals way simpler for a lot of people. They call it Claude Design. It’s a new tool from their Labs team that lets you build prototypes, slide decks, one-pagers, and other marketing stuff just by chatting with Claude.
No need to open Figma or Canva every five minutes or wait for a designer to finish something quickly. You type what you want in plain words, and it creates the first version right away.
The whole thing runs on their newest vision model called Claude Opus 4.7. Right now, it’s only in research preview mode. That means it’s still being tested, but you can try it if you have a Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan. They are rolling it out slowly throughout the day, so not everyone sees it at the same time.
How it actually works
You describe the design you need. Claude makes it fast. Then you keep talking to it like you’re sitting next to a designer. You can add comments inside the design, make changes directly, or use simple sliders to adjust spacing, colors, or layout. It feels natural because the conversation drives everything.
When you are happy with how it looks, you have easy ways to get it out. Export as PDF or PPTX straight to Canva. Or send it over to Claude Code if you want to turn the design into real working code.
One thing I like is how it handles branding. You can point it at your codebase or existing design files. Claude figures out your team’s style and colors and applies them automatically to every new thing it makes. No more fixing inconsistent logos or fonts later.
Who Should Use Claude Design
Founders who need pitch decks fast. Marketers creating one-pagers or campaign visuals. Product managers mocking up simple prototypes to show the team. Solo builders who do everything themselves. Anyone tired of jumping between tools just to get a quick mock ready.
It won’t replace every professional designer overnight, but it cuts out a lot of the slow back and forth for everyday work.
